AW - Steady as she goes...

During this period of global stress and uncertainty, we’d like you to know that Architecture Workshop plans to maintain business as usual.

For those of you working with us in the coming months, this is how we will endeavour to prevent and manage COVID-19 following the NZ Government announcement moving to Alert Level 4 on Wednesday March 25 2020.

AW staff are very well equipped to work remotely. We estimate that mobile working will reduce our efficiency by no more than 15 per cent, compared to face-to-face work. In isolation our team members will work on shared files via remote desktop access to our servers. This is supplemented by cloud based software to allow collaboration and teamwork from our respective remote locations.

To facilitate external meetings, especially with client groups, we will use Zoom. This single tool offers videoconferencing, web conferencing and screen sharing. It has telephone, internet and mobile-device access.

All these systems are simple to use. All are part of our day-to-day working practices, as we work from our Wellington Workshop or with our Melbourne studio.

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, AW will continue to monitor updates from NZ health authorities and respond by ensuring our team operates in a safe and responsible way. We will keep you updated if any of this plan changes. Feel free to contact us if you have any queries or concerns. If our studios close, our main phone numbers and email addresses will still be answered.

Take care.  We hope that you—our clients, partners, consultants, friends and your families—remain safe and well.
