The Rangitikei District Councils Community Centre in Bulls which encompasses the Town Hall, i-Site, tourism office and Learning Hub (library) is above ground!

After collaborative design input between AW, NZCEL and W&W Construction we now see the resulting 25mm thick steel cruciform plates on steel CHS columns. These add earthquake resilience to the steel frame of the building. This joint detail is a design development since the Christchurch Earthquakes (2011) and a favourite with structural engineers NZCEL.
